Ariel House

A small reception refurbishment in trendy Fitzrovia, London, became the perfect job for us to install a new product that has been designed by the Stockholm-based award-winning design studio “Form us with Love”.  Form us with Love have developed a collection of geometrical sound-absorbing wall panels for acoustic panel specialists Baux.

Made from a natural, recyclable material composed of wood wool, cement and water, ‘Hexagon’ tiles have not only sound-absorbing qualities but are also moisture-regulating and heat-accumulating. Available in eight different colours, ‘Hexagon’ was recently presented as part of the ‘Young Sweden’ exhibition during the London Design Festival.

Ariel House at 74A Charlotte Street, London has undergone a floor by floor refurbishment over recent years and the one remaining area that required attention was the reception area.

The Trevor Blake London office fit out and refurbishment team were approached by the buildings Landlords, Canada Life, to create a design to turn the white, harshly lit and very bland reception area into a more colourful and interesting arrival point.

We developed a new design for the area that included new lighting, internal and external signage, furniture, feature walls, full decoration and, of course, the Hexagon wall tiles.

The result is an inexpensive and very effective refurbishment that has transformed the area into a welcoming space with a much warmer look and feel.
