Following the success of last year's golf day where we raised a fantastic £4,500 for local charities, we are pleased to announce that we're making it an annual event and we are now looking for individuals or teams to come and help us make it even more of a success this year.
This year's golf day will be held in September, date to be confirmed, at Rusper Golf Club, Newdidgate, Surrey.
Rusper golf club laid on a immensely enjoyable day last year, with 2 rounds of golf and breakfast, lunch and dinner for all participants.
You can come along or your own or form a team of 4. There will be raffles on the day and all proceeds will go to this years chosen charities.
Last year's funds were split between two charities. One of those charities was the Teenage Cancer Trust. I don't think anyone could have missed the heroic story of Stephen Sutton in the news of late and the incredible amount he raised for the Teenage Cancer Trust (£3.94m at time of writing), before he sadly lost his battle with cancer.
Saving Gee Gee is a local charity, very close to our hearts. It was founded by Carol Woodley whilst her beautiful daughter, Georgina was battling a rare form of Cancer known as Rhabdomyosarcoma.
If you would like to donate a prize for the raffle or you would like to attend the 2014 Trevor Blake Golf Day, please contact David Webb on 01293 775 509 to register your interest and ensure you receive updates and information about the upcoming day.
