Conversion of the mechanical workshop and adjacent tool store into a new relocated security office and separate FM switchboard room.

This was a tight (6-week) programme with no disruption to other building users.

Project scope:

Structural work to create a new interview room
Full HVAC package to cope with the heavy load of the Security Room equipment
Partition, ceiling, flooring, and electrical works, including the creation of an access-controlled airlock for the Security Room
Bespoke cabinetry for services
Steel support frame for external ac condensing unit
Revisions and scope creep – ceiling redesign as original not suited to number of screens, structural (KU structural engineer-revised scheme), all absorbed within original programme
